You’ve heard the rumours, you’ve seen the sign go up and now, 11 years after first opening our doors, we’ve opened our second restaurant, Nick’s at Chequerbent in Westhoughton.
Most of our customers and friends will know that we have worked together with the same core group of people since the very beginning, something which are very proud of. With the opening of the new restaurant, Andrew leaves the Chorley Old Road restaurant to become head chef at Nick’s at Chequerbent. Many of you will already know Andrew but for those who don’t, allow us to introduce you…
Andrew begin working at Nick’s Restaurant aged 16, while studying at catering college, and has worked alongside Nick for the past 11 years. Over the years, Andrew’s imagination and passion for food has contributed to the variety and abundance of new dishes that appear in our menu and specials boards. He has also taken an active role in our cookery classes, helped to launch several of our theme nights, given cookery tips on BBC Radio Manchester, helped to educate youngsters from local schools and taken on several work experience students interested in pursuing a career in food and catering.
Andrew will be joined at Chequerbent by Nick’s wife Diane, some original staff from Chorley Old Road and a whole new generation of Nick’s Chicks! So whether you’re having a 3 course meal, a light snack or simply just a drink in the bar, please say hello!
